My Opinion
The Bolide 35 is an ideal size — not too big, not too small. Very solid, magnifique in its construction, with the mix of canvas and leather. The olive with ‘Gold’ gives it something quieter and slightly unexpected compared to the more classic versions. I tend to prefer bags with a full leather interior, and here everything is well finished — the zipper closes smoothly, which matters in daily use. A relatively accessible way to step into Hermès.

The Hermès Bolide is one of the house’s foundational designs — defined by its curved silhouette, top zip closure and balanced proportions. This Bolide 35, produced in 2009 (square M stamp), combines olive Toile H canvas with natural calfskin in the classic Hermès ‘Gold’ tone.
The contrast between structured canvas and untreated leather gives the piece its character. The leather is open and responsive, developing patina over time — visible here in tonal variation and watermarks across the base and upper sections.
Crafted with palladium hardware and a top zip closure, the bag can be carried by hand or worn with its removable shoulder strap. The interior is lined in smooth leather and fitted with a slip pocket. The piece retains its original elements, including the shoulder strap, padlock, clochette and leather zipper pull.
The bag remains structurally sound and holds its shape well. Stitching throughout is intact and even, the zipper runs smoothly, and the hardware is in very good condition. Handles and strap show signs of use without affecting function.
Marked with the Hermès blind stamp “M” in a square (2009), along with internal production markings. An additional internal stamp is present beneath the Hermès signature, indicating distribution through non-retail channels.
